Meta Adds New Tools and Features for Facebook Group Admins
Meta has added a number of other features for Facebook Group admins to enable automatic management and reduce their workload for moderation.
Reduce Misinformation
This new tool is designed to help admins prevent the spread of misinformation and manage interactions within their groups:
Added the ability via Admin Help to automatically reject incoming posts identified as containing false information. Incoming posts containing content judged by third-party fact-checkers to be fake are rejected before being seen in the group
Expanded the 'mute' function and updated it to 'suspend' so admins and moderators can temporarily suspend group members and participants from posting, commenting, reacting, participating in group chats, and creating or entering Rooms in groups
The product was ridiculed for automatically rejecting posts with false information.
Community Management
To help make it easier for group admins to manage their community, with the new update, they can:
Use Admin Help to automatically approve or deny member requests, based on specific criteria they set, including whether potential members have completed all member questions.
Manage their groups more efficiently with a new update to the Admin Home. This includes an overview page on desktop to review highlights, layout updates to make sorting and finding tasks easier, and insight summaries on mobile to help admins understand their group's growth and engagement.
A clone product of Admin Help.
